Festival Director & Co-Founder
A filmmaker and horror fanatic. Spencer has been a horror fan as long as he can walk.
From the schedule to the general organisation Spencer oversees the partnerships & day to day running of this growing festival.
Art Director and Co-Founder
Natalie is a cultural project manager with a vast knowledge of arts and community engagement.
As well as leading on the Festival's branding and design work, she organises sponsorship, volunteers, comms and logistics.
Selections Committee and Interviewer
A Romford resident with a Masters in World Cinema, Peter's biggest interests are in Japanese cinema, the European arthouse, and auteur directors. He has also worked on the London East Asia and London Short Film Festivals, as well as Frightfest.
Selections Committee, Online Session Host and Interviewer
Kevin is a huge independent film fan, promoting indie film through Nerdly Out Loud and 365Flicks Podcasts. In 2020 Kevin carried out hundreds of hours of online interviews with filmmakers during "the new normal".
Selection Commitee & Videographer
Carrie is a local filmmaker and photographer with an MA in Film Studies. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, and has a strong affinity for horror films and documentaries.
Projectionist - DCP Creator
Romford Film Festival's lynchpin, Rudy is Premiere Cinema's Projectionist. He works feverishly on the weeks up to the festival, fitting the selected films into the schedule, and converting the films ready for projection.
Videographer
Daniel Smales an an actor from Hull. He's appered in a number of movie, television and stage roles and is on Hull's "Cool List". Daniel returns to Romford Film Festival after a four year break. In Daniel's spare time he loves shooting video, photography and working on his large allotment.
Event Co-Ordinator
Gill is the welcoming face you find each year at the festival. She works with our volunteer team and checks in all our festival guests upon arrival.
She's also the person to know to get the best Festival Merch!
Online Content Creator
Charlotte has recently graduated with a degree in Philosophy from the University of Warwick. She spends most of her time painting, reading and having existential crises.
Charlotte will be writing content for the festival website and monitoring the progress of films and filmmakers we've shown over the years.
Creative Genius
Local artist Hannah is an artistic genius, she can make anything into something magical. Her sex squid creation from RHIFF2022 was the talk of the town! In 2024 she offered guests a free photoshoot and turned social media was alight with her photography.
Events Assistant
New girl on the block April joins the team in its third year. April has a passion for art and loves challenges. She'll be here, there and everywhere throughout the festival.
Photographer
Chris is a Press Photographer and videographer who often is out and about photographing actors at press nights and film premieres. With a keen passion for making documentary films from The Death of the Queen to upcoming projects involving Robin Williams's flatmate. Chris is dedicated to championing independent cinema and supporting local cinemas.
Selections Committee
As a writer, Bradley has written a diverse range of short and feature length scripts on a variety of subjects.
Bradley is passionate about filmmaking and has to date been active in the roles of writer, producer and director on several short films.
